Hakata Light up walk 2105

Hakata Light up walk will be held in November 19th to 23rd.
Eight of Hakata's historical temples and shrines are light up during the 5 days.

On 21st to 23rd, local traditional dance will be held and you can eat free udon and soba from 3pm.

You can enjoy both afternoon and night at this event.
If you would like to lean and feel history of Hakata, please visit!

Time: November 19th to November 23rd. 17:30～21:00
Place: Kushida Shrine, Tochoji temple, Shotenji Temple, Myotenji Temple, Enkakuji Temple,
         Myorakuji Temple, Shoteiji Temple, Hongakuji Temple

Admission: 1,000YEN (tickets sold at counter)
               1,300YEN（advance ticket)
*Tickets are sold at Tenjin and Hakata Information center, Hakata Traditional Craft Center, 
  Hakata Machiya Folk Museum and etc.
*Tickets on the door are sold only at Kushida Srine, Tochoji temple, and Shotenji temple

Nokono-shima(Noko-island)

Nokono-shima is an island.

It takes only 10 min by ferry from the port.

You can see Cosmos there around the beginning of October till the end of October.

They are pretty beautiful!!

Entrance fee: adult ¥1000, child ¥500

Also you can see rabbits, goats, chickens, and ducks!!

Hakata Gion Yamakasa Festival!!!!!!!!!

Gion Hakata Yamakasa festival is coming very very soon in Fukuoka!!

People have started sprinkle water for pray to get rid of epidemic in 1241.

This is the 774th this time!!

The performance will start from Kushida shrine @ 4:59 AM on July 15th!!  It's early in the morning, don't miss it!!

Rainy season in Kyushu but Hydrangea season now!!

You can see the beautiful hydrangea in Maizuru park(free) and Uminonakamichi Kaihin park(¥410 for entrance fee) and so on.

Also they are on the streets!!  It might be fun to look for them!!

Maizuru park and Ohori park are next each other where they located in the city, even though you can feel the nature.
