18,19th of May Kawawarari Jinkousai festival

The festival started about 450 years ago to thank the god for ending plague.
'Kawawatari' means 'crossing river' literally.
11yamagasa floats and 2 mikoshi,or portable shrines, cross the river on the way
of their procession which is to show their life to the god.
You can see shishimai,or lion dance, and a lots more other things.

Unfortunately, we are fully booked out on the 3rd and 4th of May,because of Hakata Dontaku
festival.Still, there are something to see before and after the festival. Well, I should say 'something to drink'
shouldn't I?
The goldenmomochi 2013 local brand beer fair takes place from the 1st to 6th.
There are about 40 brands of beer from 20 breweries, and foods of course!
Try and crawl in local beers!
